Save the date: Biblioburro in NYC!

Dear Friends,

it has taken time, but I'm very happy to announce that we have just finished our first project - funded in large part by your donations, and are very proud of it!

It has been a great adventure and we have been greatly honored to meet Luis, who is not only the hero of our story, but a hero to hundreds of children who benefit from his work with the Biblioburro, the donkey library.

We are hoping his story might inspire others living in rural communities worldwide to start similar projects, and also hope the film will bring Luis the support he needs to complete La Gloria's first library - a project he has been working on for 5 years with his wife, Diana.

The film is not yet online, but will be available shortly.

In the meantime, if you are in NYC, save the date for the world premiere of the Biblioburro/Ayoka Fundraiser!

When? Tuesday September 15, 2009 , 7-8pm (Screening at 7:30pm - it's only 10mn so don't be late! ;)

Where? PIE by the pound, 124 4th Ave (between 12th and 13th st)

--> 20$ for all you can eat pizza and a drink!
