"Woman is the companion of man, gifted with equal mental capacities. She has the right to participate in the minutest details in the activities of man, and she has an equal right of freedom and liberty with him." _ Gandhi
As a woman travelling through India, I was shocked by the subjugation of women. In many many places, men will not listen to a woman if there is a man present to whom they can talk to. Women work as hard as men, yet gain no recognition for their effort. I hope that one day, all men in India will will see their women as Gandhi did.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.”
- Margaret Mead
