Oasis of Peace

Problems arise when people simply do not understand one another. At the community school in Neve Shalom-Wahat al-Salam - named in both Hebrew and Arabic - children learn both languages at a very young age, thus cultivating a spirit of communication and mutual understanding. The village is a symbol of peace, jointly established by Jewish and Palestinian Arab citizens of Israel, and engaged in educational work for peace, equality and understanding between the two peoples.


Sulha Peace Project

Due to the Israeli – Arab conflict, Arabs and Jews in Israel and Palestine have very few opportunities to meet one another as equal human beings. For three days, Sulha brings together people from all ages and all walks of life to learn and experience together each other's stories, pains and hopes and to celebrate peace and reconciliation..
